(NASHVILLE, TN -  March 10, 2025)—Nashville-based, award-winning artist/songwriter Shantell Ogden is thrilled to announce her newest endeavor: a family-friendly Christmas movie titled Music City Mistletoe, filming in March. With 20 years of experience in Nashville’s music industry, Shantell now adds “screenwriter” to her list of credits.

The film centers around a struggling songwriter in Nashville, "Chloe," who is at risk of losing her publishing deal and her dream of having a song recorded by a major label artist. Set against the backdrop of the holiday season, Music City Mistletoe showcases the passion, determination, and holiday magic that define Nashville’s unique blend of music and tradition.

"As a longtime Nashville songwriter, I’m thrilled to bring my love for songwriting, the complexities of the music industry, and the joy of holiday magic to life," reflects Shantell. "At its heart, this movie is about giving a voice to your dreams and pursuing your passions no matter what it takes.”
As executive producer, Shantell partnered with Logen Christopher (director) and Hope Karwoski (producer) of Stormlight Pictures.

Music City Mistletoe stars actress Sarah Pribis (A Belgium Chocolate Christmas and The Bold & the Beautiful), Christopher Callen (One Life to Live, The Young and the Restless, and Ed Asners' series Bronx Zoo), and Oklahoma-based Brooks Ryan (The Adventures of Jurassic Pet: Return to the Wild and Reagan). 

Logen Christopher, director, expresses his excitement, “We couldn’t be happier with the incredible talent we’re working with to bring these characters to life. The story of 'Music City Mistletoe' is heartwarming, and we’re confident that audiences will connect with it on a deep level.”

The film also features Nashville music industry tastemakers—renowned on-air personality Kelly Sutton (WSM Radio's, Coffee Country & Cody, and Y'all Access) and making cameos are longtime news anchor and journalist Neal Orne and Keri Lea, TheNashvilleBeautyGirl. Finally, Oklahoma-based artist James Robert Webb makes his acting debut in the film. Known for his chart-topping Texas radio success, Webb’s inclusion in the cast adds a special touch to the project.

Filming will take place at iconic locations around Nashville, including The Commodore Grille, a popular music venue and hangout for established and emerging songwriters. Additionally, the crew will shoot on location in the charming town of Hohenwald, Tennessee, showcasing the area's picturesque beauty during the Christmas season.

Shantell Ogden is an award-winning singer/songwriter based in Nashville. Her music has earned global recognition, receiving airplay on country and Americana radio stations worldwide, with impressive chart placements in the US and Europe. Notably, her single "Blossom in the Dust" reached #2, just behind Chris Stapleton.
